Subsequent to the appeals submitted by the Students’ Union, various student groups on the campus and discussions held with the VC, PVCs and DSW, the notice on Stay in Hostels during Summer Vacation has been partially modified as under:
- The deadline for submitting applications for stay in hostels during Summer Vacation has been extended up to May 07, 20019. The applications will have to be submitted in the respective Wardens’ Offices before May 07, 2019.
- The last date for PG/Integrated students who have completed their course to vacate the hostel after clearing all the dues has been extended to May 14, 2019.
- Mess Deposit of Rs.3000 to be remitted in the hostel that a student is attached to is optional. Only those wishing to avail Mess facilities during the vacation period will need to pay the deposit. However, they will need to indicate if they wish to use the Mess facilities in the application and pay the deposit in advance through challan.
It is also clarified that M.Phil and Ph.D scholars will not have to shift to other hostels.
