Following an appeal by students, the Chief Warden’s Office has obtained approval to waive off rent on accommodation during Summer Vacation for SC & ST students. They will, however, need to provide valid proof for the official purposes for which they require to stay in the hostels. This is partial modification of the notice dated April 18, 2017.
Students who wish to appear for NET/SLET/CSIR examinations and those staying back for academic purposes such as Internships/Summer Projects/ Summer School (in case of CIS students) need to apply in prescribed form with authorization from their respective Deans/Heads and provide adequate proof. Students required to attend summer projects prescribed by the department will also submit an authorisation from the Head/ Dean of the school. All students applying for summer vacation stay will be required to provide proof for reasons of stay. Only students covered by Social Welfare Scholarships are exempted from clearing their mess dues. Such students will also be required to provide proof of having applied for SW Scholarship.
The CWO will not be in a position to consider applications for any other reasons. Students eligible to stay back may be shifted to other hostels for the summer stay.
Deadline to submit filled in applications in respective hostel offices: May 10, 2017.
The name of the eligible students will be communicated to the respective hostel offices latest by May 13, 2017. Students found ineligible to stay back will be required to vacate the hostel immediately.
Mess facility will be provided at MH-E, MH-J&K and LH-III only. Students permitted to stay should pay Rs. 1000/- (GE/OBC) as Room Rent for the entire summer vacation. No requests for partial stays will be entertained.
An amount of Rs. 3000/- have to be remitted by all students to avail mess facilities, to the hostel they are attached to.
Students are advised to make the payments only after the final list of students eligible to stay back in the hostels is released.
